Forest Hills Cheesecake Poisoner From Brooklyn Convicted: DA
Viktoria Nasyrova was charged with attempted murder and petit larceny after poisoning a 35-year-old woman to steal her identity.
FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A 47-year-old woman was convicted after poisoning a woman from Forest Hills with a cheesecake in 2016, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said Thursday.
Viktoria Nasyrova, from Brooklyn, was charged with attempted murder and petit larceny after poisoning a 35-year-old woman with a sedative-laced cheesecake to steal her identification and other property in August 2016, prosecutors said.
Police said in 2016 she fed her friend the sedative-laced cheesecake so she could steal her identity and her property since both women have similar physical features.

Nasyrova is expected to be sentenced to up to 25 years in prison when she comes back to court on March 21, Katz said.
She visited the Forest Hills woman, both of them Russian, in her home and gifted the 35-year-old a cheesecake on Aug. 28, 2016, the district attorney said.

The woman from Queens passed out, and a friend found her the following day with pills scattered around the floor to make it look like “the woman had attempted to kill herself,” prosecutors said.
After the 35-year-old was treated at the hospital, she found her passport, work authorization card, a gold ring, and other property were missing from her home, Katz said.
Homeland Security agents tested residues of the cheesecake, and confirmed the dessert was laced with the sedative Phenazepam, the district attorney said.
The pills found on the floor were also Phenazepam, prosecutors said.
