Central Queens Shows Narrow Win For Hochul: Block-Level Breakdown
Hochul won about 52 percent of votes in the 28th district in Queens to Zeldin's 48 percent, according to a Patch analysis.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Gov. Kathy Hochul marked a tight win in the district that includes Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, and Glendale against Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin in Tuesday's governor's race, signaling a threat in the primarily liberal neighborhoods.
Hochul won about 52 percent of votes in the 28th district in Queens to Zeldin's 48 percent, according to a Patch analysis of preliminary vote tallies.
That gap is much narrower than the rest of Queens, which Hochul won overall with 76 percent of the vote. Hochul’s win in Queens is lower than in other boroughs like Manhattan, where the governor won 82 percent of the vote.

Here’s a rundown of the votes.
Hochul’s Best Blocks
Hochul’s best result was in Forest Hills, specifically in the precinct that runs from 69 Road to Jewel Avenue, between 108th Street and Queens Boulevard, where she won 77 percent of the votes.

Hochul’s second best sector was also in Forest Hills, in the precinct between 72 Avenue to 72 Road, between Manse Street and Metropolitan Ave.
She also received strong support in Kew Gardens, specifically runs from 126 Street to 129 Street, between Kew Gardens Road and Metropolitan Ave.
Zeldin’s Best Blocks
The sector with the best results for Zeldin was located in Ridgewood from Eliot Avenue to 59 Drive, where he won over 78 percent of the votes.
Zeldin’s second best result was in the electoral district encompassing Forest Hills, located from Juno Street to Kessel Street, between 70 Avenue and 71 Avenue, with 77 percent of the votes.
