Century-Old Forest Hills Home To Be Replaced By Apartments
Developers plan to erect an eight-unit complex in place of the home built in 1910 at 75-44 Grand Central Parkway, city records show.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS -- Developers have filed plans to replace a 108-year-old Forest Hills home with a four-story apartment complex, city records show.
The 9,743-square-foot building planned to go up at 75-44 Grand Central Parkway would create eight apartments directly across from the southern tip of Flushing Meadows-Corona Park near Willow Lake, according to filings with the city's Department of Buildings in August.
Long Island-based developer George Baharestani bought the land for $1.2 million in late June, according to city Department of Finance records.

The apartments will replace a quaint, mint green home that was built on the land in 1910, though demolition permits have yet to be filed for the single-family house, city records show.
Plans filed with the DOB show the new complex rising 50 feet with two apartments on each floor. Duplex options will be available on the top-floor units.
