Fatality At Throgs Neck Bridge
Fire rescue team pulled body of man from Little Bay in northern Queens early Saturday.
A fire rescue team pulled the body of a man from the waters of Little Bay on Saturday at Fort Totten, near Bayside.
Engine 72, based in Throgs Neck in The Bronx, responded to the scene at 11:44 a.m. after receiving a report of a man falling into the water from the Queens side of the Throgs Neck Bridge, fire officials said.
By noon, rescuers removed the body from the water at the Fire Dock at Fort Totten in front of dozens of onlookers outside to enjoy an unseasonably-warm autumn afternoon.
