FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A fire broke out at a Forest Hills apartment building with more than 100 units Monday morning, according to the FDNY.

The blaze began about 11:40 a.m. at 102-45 62nd Road, a six-story, 122-unit apartment building on the corner of Yellowstone Boulevard and 62nd Road, according to the FDNY Twitter.

Firefighters quickly issued an all-hands alarm, and rushed to the apartment building to battle the blaze, which started in a fifth-floor apartment, tweets show.

Videos uploaded to Citizen show smoke emanating from one of the apartment building's windows.

Shortly after noon, firefighters got the blaze under control, tweets show. It wasn't immediately clear if anyone had been injured in the process.

Monday's blaze marks the second-such nearby apartment tower fire in the past week: On May 11, a fire broke out at a 20-tower housing development on the edge of Forest Hills injuring four people, according to the FDNY.
