Food Pantry Reopens at Forest Hills Older Adult Center

The food pantry reopened on Jan. 12 at the Queens Community House located at 108-25 62nd Drive.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — The food pantry at the Forest Hills Older Adult Center reopened last week, offering free food to senior citizens of the community.

The food pantry reopened on Jan. 12 at the Queens Community House located at 108-25 62nd Drive. The pantry is scheduled to provide food for older adults every Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Adults must provide a government ID with a name, address, and date of birth.

The pantry closed amid renovations to the center, which officially broke ground on August 2021.

The Older Adults Center also offers in-person activities for older adults, including tennis, yoga, painting, and more.
