QUEENS, NY — A man who authorities say stole money from a Forest Hills bank last week robbed two other banks in Queens Friday, marking his most recent heists amid a borough-wide robbery spree, police said.

The first robbery happened at about 9:30 a.m., when the man walked into a Fresh Meadows Chase Bank, located on the corner of Union Turnpike and 188th Street, and passed a teller a note demanding money, according to the NYPD.

The teller refused to hand over cash, though, and the as-yet-unidentified robber ran off empty handed, police said.

This same pattern happened again at 3 p.m. at a Little Neck Chase Bank on the corner of Northern Boulevard and Little Neck Parkway, when a man — who police believe to be the same person — passed a note to a teller demanding cash, and ran off with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the NYPD.

Both of these heists mirror bank robberies across Queens last week, which started in Forest Hills. Police said that all of the robberies were pulled off by the same person.

Police described the robber as a light-skinned, 30-something year old man who stands at 5-feet, 10-inches with a medium build. The NYPD also included surveillance photos from Friday's robberies.

As of April 9, though, no arrests have been made and the investigation remains open.
