Forest Hills Eatery Named Among Queens' Best Outdoor Dining Spots
A South Asian fusion eatery in Forest Hills with a "funky" backyard dining shed was among the spots on Eater's best outdoor dining list.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — New Yorkers looking to dine outdoors should go to Forest Hills for one of Queens' best offerings, critics said.
Paratha Wala, a South Asian Indian fusion restaurant on Metropolitan Avenue, topped an Eater list of the best places to outdoor dine in Queens.
All told, 15 eateries were included on the list, which was updated last week as the city entered the throes of summer.

Editors deemed all the spots on the list enjoyable enough that diners "won't even miss the inside of the restaurant," but Paratha Wala's backyard is a standout.
Complete with tapestry-covered lamp shades and leopard-patterned wood, the backyard mirrors the restaurant's Bollywood-inspired vibe, Eater says.

In addition to the funky, partially enclosed outdoor structure, there's room for dining outdoors on the front sidewalk, according to editors.
Neighbors who check out Paratha Wala — which is located at 103-09 Metropolitan Avenue — should consider the kale fritters and chicken tikka bowl, Eater recommended.
