Forest Hills Fire Sends Thick Black Smoke Into Air: Video
Footage from the scene showed plumes of smoke rising from the roof of a local restaurant.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A fire in a Forest Hills restaurant sent huge plumes of black smoke into the air Wednesday evening. One person was injured but refused medical attention, city fire officials said.
Around 60 firefighters responded to a call at 107-02 70th Ave. around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, officials said. The cause of the fire, which apparently broke out on the roof of the restaurant Biu Bella, has yet to be determined.
The fire was contained around 6:10 p.m., a spokeswoman for the FDNY said.

Videos tweeted by witnesses showed thick smoke rising from the building as NYPD sectioned off the scene.
