Forest Hills Gardens' Flag Day to Be Held on June 8

Flag Day and Children's Day will both be held on June 8 in Forest Hills Gardens.

The Flag Day celebration will kick off at the neighborhood's Flagpole Green at 10 a.m., while the Children's Day activities will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The former event will include appearances by the American Legion, the Fire Department and local schools.

The latter event will include rides for children and an assortment of food vendors.

"It shows how many young families live in Forest Hills," said Susanna Hof, of Terrace Sotheby's International Realty, of the event. "A lot of people who grew up here come back for Children's Day."
