Forest Hills GoFundMe Campaign Raises Money for Child Custody
Drop by Patch every week to find out how to help local residents with fundraising goals.

An online campaign dedicated to raising money for a father's child custody battle has raised $195.
Forest Hills' Elvis C. Martinez created a GoFundMe page titled "A Father's Love." The total fundraising goal for the campaign is $3,000. So far, five people have donated to the initiative.
The page reads:
No father or child should ever lose the chance to be active in each other's daily lives. Many people do not know, but for the past two years I have been going through a custody battle. If there is one thing above all that people know about me, I am a loving father.
This process has cost me and my family thousands of dollars already and there is still a lot ahead. I am now expanding my request for financial support, in help covering legal expenses, to keep my voice strong. I am fighting for a loving father's voice, who wants to be an active daily parent in his son's life.
Every parent should have a voice and not become discouraged. I am stepping forward and speaking up for every single loving father that loves his child but does not know where to start and how to finish. Thank you all for whatever support can be provided.
To a parent that raised me well, because of them I know how important a father's involvement is in the lives of his children.
