Forest Hills Groups Deliver Free Turkeys To Neighborhood Families

LIJ Forest Hills, Foodtown, and Commpoint Queens will deliver turkeys and pies to 50 families in the neighborhood.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Underserved families on Forest Hills will receive free turkeys on Tuesday as part of an initiative to soften the burden of higher costs of meat.

LIJ Forest Hills, Foodtown, and Commpoint Queens will deliver turkeys and pies to 50 families in the neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon at a food pantry located at 108-13 67th Road.

“Our hospital team is no stranger to giving back to the community,” said Stancy Saji, community and government relations project manager at LIJ Forest Hills. “We’re glad we have the opportunity to spread a little bit of holiday cheer this Thanksgiving as times are tough for so many in our borough this year.”
