Forest Hills Man Charged For Series Of Anti-Semitic Symbols: DA

Antoine Blount, 34, was arrested after allegedly drawing swastikas on several locations in Forest Hills and Rego Park, prosecutors said.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — The man that etched a string of swastikas in Forest Hills was charged with criminal mischief as a hate crime and assault after attacking two men last week, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said Tuesday.

Antoine Blount, 34, was arrested after allegedly drawing swastikas on several locations in Forest Hills and Rego Park, as well as attacking a 27-year-old and a 30-year-old man on Wednesday, March 22, prosecutors said.

Blount is scheduled to come back to court on May 8, Katz said.

The 34-year-old attacked a man last week near the intersection of Jamaica Avenue and 102nd Street, ripping his necklace off and punching him in the jaw, the district attorney said. Blount then punched another man in the face, according to prosecutors.

Later that day, Blount was seen drawing a swastika at the Reform Temple of Forest Hills on 112th Street and later at an apartment building on Austin Street near the intersection of 74th Street, the district attourney said.

On Thursday, surveillance footage showed Blount near the Sholom Day Care offices at 70-17 Main Street drawing a swastika, Katz said.
