Forest Hills Medical Marijuana Dispensary To Open July 10
Curaleaf is currently taking appointments for its 3,000-square-foot dispensary at 107-18 70th Road.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS -- A medical marijuana dispensary that has planted its roots in downtown Forest Hills will be open for business next week, owners said.
Curaleaf New York announced Tuesday that its new 3,000-square-foot dispensary at 107-18 70th Road will open its doors on July 10, just over a month after the national medial marijuana dispensary brand told Patch it was setting up shop in the Queens neighborhood.
The new dispensary will be the second of its kind in Queens, behind Vireo Health in Elmhurst, state records show. It will offer medical pot in capsules, tablets, tinctures, oils and other forms to New York City patients suffering from conditions covered under the State Department of Health's medical marijuana program, a Curaleaf spokesperson said.

In the weeks leading up to its opening, Curaleaf hosted a series of "Cannabis 101" seminars to educate Queens residents and potential patients about medical marijuana and the state laws surrounding it.
Curaleaf's parent company, PalliaTech NY, is among 10 organizations licensed to sell medical marijuana in New York, according to the state's health department. This will be the company's third dispensary in the state.

“Medical marijuana has already helped tens of thousands of New Yorkers, and we are excited to welcome patients to our Forest Hills dispensary to access the treatment they need or learn more about medical marijuana and the state’s program,” said Michelle Bodner, president of PalliaTech NY.
Curaleaf will accept walk-in visits, but the dispensary is also taking appointments ahead of its July 10 opening, a spokeswoman said. To schedule a visit or learn more about the dispensary, call 833-470-5323 or email info.ny@curaleaf.com.
“Our team looks forward to meeting with patients to discuss how medical marijuana can help provide relief from chronic pain and improve their lives,” Bodner said.
