Forest Hills Medical Pot Dispensary To Host 'Cannabis 101' Class
The medical marijuana dispensary will host the community education workshop on June 14 in preparation for its summer opening 70th Road.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS -- A marijuana dispensary setting up shop in Forest Hills wants to make sure the neighborhood has the facts about what exactly they'll be selling.
So, before Curaleaf New York opens its 3,000-square-foot location at 107-18 70th Road this summer, the national medical marijuana dispensary brand will host free "Cannabis 101" seminars to talk about medical pot and the program the New York State Department of Health has in place for it.
The new dispensary will offer medical pot in capsules, tablets, tinctures, oils and other forms to New York City patients suffering from conditions allowed under the State Department of Health's medial marijuana program, a Curaleaf spokesperson said.

It will be the second dispensary to open in Queens, behind Vireo Health in Elmhurst, state records show. Curaleaf's parent company, PalliaTech NY, is among 10 organizations licensed to sell medical marijuana in New York, according to the state's health department.
"Medical cannabis can help provide critical relief from serious and painful conditions that include cancer, PTSD and chronic pain," said PalliaTech NY CEO Michelle Bodner. "It's important that patients in Queens are aware of the treatment options available and how medical cannabis can be used in New York State."
