Forest Hills, Rego Park Volunteers Sought For Public Committees
Community Board 6 launched a form for residents to select which of the 12 committees they want to participate in.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Forest Hills and Rego Park residents looking to serve in public committees, with topics ranging from transit to safety issues, have until Friday to pick their cohort for the next 12 months.
Community Board 6, which encompasses both neighborhoods, launched a form for residents to select which of the 12 committees they want to participate in within the next year.
Prospective volunteers have until Friday, June 14, to fill out the form, which can be found here. Public members are only able to serve on one committee.

- Aging, Social Services & Disabilities
- Committee For Those Without Shelter
- Consumer Affairs, Economic Development & Small Business
- Education & Youth
- Environmental Protection/Sanitation
- Health, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse
- Land Use, Housing, and Landmark
- Libraries/Cultural Affairs
- Parks & Recreation/Beautification
- Public Relations, Social Media
- Transportation/Public Transit/Street Safety
- Veteran Affairs & Public Service
