Forest Hills Street Co-Named, Honors NYPD Detective
The 112th Precinct gathered over the weekend to co-name a Forest Hills street "Detective Jeffrey A Lee Way."

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A path in Forest Hills now honors the name of an NYPD detective that died after developing an illness following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The 112th Precinct gathered at the intersection of Austin Street and Yellowstone Boulevard over the weekend to co-name a Forest Hills street "Detective Jeffrey A Lee Way."
Detective Lee died of cancer, which he developed following his search and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

"We thank everyone who came together and made it possible to rename a street after a hero who paid the ultimate sacrifice," the 112th Precinct wrote on Twitter.
Pedestrian Way, located between Yellowstone Boulevard and Booth Street, was co-named to honor the detective.
