FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A man broke into three apartments in Forest Hills last week and snatched thousands of dollars worth of jewelry, police said.

A man broke into three apartments at a building located near Burns Street and Continental Avenue on March 29 about 11:45 a.m. and snatched jewelry from the homes, the NYPD said.

One homeowner reported losing over $2,500 worth of jewelry, authorities said.

No injuries were reported during the burglaries, and the thief fled in a silver Chevrolet four-door sedan, cops said.

The man is about 30 to 40 years old, and he was last seen wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap, police said.
