FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Community volunteers in Forest Hills will install a fence around MacDonald Park on Saturday as part of an initiative from the Parks Department and a local grassroots organization.

The "It's My Park" event will take place on Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at MacDonald Park on Queens Boulevard, between Yellowstone Boulevard and 70 Road.

Volunteers will beautify MacDonald Park by installing a fence and sprucing up the gardens. The 32-inch tall fence will replace some of the fencing around the park.

Partnerships for Parks is a public-private partnership between City Parks Foundation and NYC Parks that provides tools to advocate for and maintain neighborhood parks and green spaces.
