Four Robbers Target Japanese Restaurant In Forest Hills: NYPD

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A Japanese restaurant in Forest Hills was the target of a robbery on Wednesday, police said.

Bamboo Ya on Austin Street was robbed by four people who took cash and an iPad, breaking in through the basement door on Feb. 1 about 1 a.m, while a man and a woman stood outside as lookouts, the NYPD said.

The robbers fled the restaurant, located on 69-12 Austin Street, into the 71st Avenue Subway Station, authorities said.

Police released images of the four robbers on Wednesday night. Bamboo Ya did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Patch.
