Jazz Thursdays In Forest Hills: Outdoor Concerts To Hit Streets

This year's series will feature NYC boogaloo band Spanglish Fly.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Forest Hills jazz hounds rejoice; on Aug. 10 and Aug. 17, the Forest Hills Chamber of Commerce will host free jazz concerts on 70th Road between Queens Boulevard and Austin Street.

Both concerts will be held 7 to 9:30 p.m., and while seating will be available, the Chamber advises residents to arrive early for optimal seating.

There will be a tribute concert to soul music pioneer Ray Charles on Aug. 10, performed by Wayne Holmes, and Latin soul-boogaloo band Spanglish Fly is scheduled to play Aug. 17.
