Free Masks, Hand Sanitizer To Be Distributed In Forest Hills

City Council Member Karen Koslowitz's office will give out hand sanitizer and face masks in Forest Hills and Kew Gardens.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — City Council Member Karen Koslowitz's office is distributing hand sanitizer and paper and cloth face masks in Forest Hills and Kew Gardens.

Locals can pick up a mask and a bottle of New York State-branded hand sanitizer at Austin Street and Lefferts Boulevard from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday or at Austin Street and Ascan Avenue from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, weather permitting.

"As New York begins to reopen it is so so important that we protect our own health and the health of others," Koslowitz said.

The supplies are first come, first serve.

New York City is scheduled to enter the first phase of reopening Monday, under which construction and manufacturing can restart and retail stores can reopen for pickup.
