FOREST HILLS, QUEENS – The hospital Long Island Jewish Forest Hills will host an event for community leaders and elected officials to learn about Queens residents’ specific healthcare needs.

Community Connection will take place on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Queens Museum.

“As we continue to face the challenges brought about by the pandemic and our current rise in respiratory viruses in both young and old, we need to work hand-in-hand with our community partners in order to navigate and raise the health of our borough,” said Lorraine Chambers Lewis, executive director of LIJ Forest Hills.

The event comes as the country contends with a high rate of respiratory viruses including flu and respiratory syncytial virus in children, overwhelming hospitals and sparking concern among parents.
