Man Arrested After Etching Anti-Semitic Symbols In Forest Hills: Pols
A man was arrested after eight anti-Semitic illustrations were found at a school, a synagogue, a police precinct, and other locations.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — After a series of reports of disturbing symbols displayed in Forest Hills and Rego Park last week, police arrested a man who allegedly etched the anti-Semitic illustrations.
A man was arrested after eight anti-Semitic illustrations were found at a school, a synagogue, a residential building, and several other locations last week, lawmakers representing Forest Hills and Rego Park said Monday.
“Hate has no place in our community, city, or country, and we are confident that the individual responsible will be held accountable, and that justice shall be served,” reads a joint statement by Rep. Grace Meng, Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi, Council Member Lynn Schulman, and Senators Leroy Comrie and Joe Addabbo.

Patch first reported the incidents on March 21, when the lawmakers expressed concern over two swastikas found in Forest Hills and Rego Park.
Two symbols were found etched into the cement of the NYPD's 112th Precinct on Saturday, March 18, and then two more swastikas were discovered on Monday at Stephen A. Halsey JHS 157 and a residential building, police said.

Other symbols were found on 112-20 72 Drive on Tuesday and at a Synagogue located at 71-11 112 St. on Wednesday, authorities said.
