Man Convicted Of Murder In Botched Robbery Stabbing Death: DA
A Forest Hills man could spend the rest of his life in prison after a jury found him guilty of second degree murder in a botched robbery.
FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A Forest Hills man could spend the rest of his life in prison after jurors found that he participating in a botched robbery that left one person stabbed to death, the Queens District Attorney said.
Jurors this week found Forest Hills resident Kristof Williams, 27, guilty of second degree murder — a verdict that bring a five-year-old crime to a close.
The fatal stabbing unfolded in the dead of night Nov. 30, 2016, when Williams, and three other people, went into a South Richmond Hill house where they thought they'd be able to find Xanax pills and marijuana, prosecutors said.

At the time, police sources told the New York Daily News that the four attackers, who had ties to a gang, were planning to steal a stash of pills from Eddie Ventura, 20, who allegedly dealt drugs.
Ventura was playing video games with some friends in the apartment at the time of the break in, and got into a fight with the attackers, during which he was stabbed numerous times, according to the DA.

The 20-year-old died from the stab wounds, records show.
"This defendant was a participant in this senseless act of violence," said DA Katz of Williams.
After a two-week trial, a jury found Williams guilty of second degree murder and burglary, for which he faces a sentence of 25 years-to-life in prison, the DA said
William's sentencing is set for May 6th, according to the DA.
The three other people involved in the case — Khalil Moses, John Pichardo, and Jose Pichardo — have all plead guilty to charges connected to Ventura's murder, and been sentenced to time in prison, records show.
