Man Entering Synagogue Attacked With Rock In Kew Gardens Hills: NYPD

The man was walking into the synagogue located at 139-19 72nd Rd. when a person inside a white van threw a rock at him, police said.

QUEENS — Police are looking for the person who threw a rock at a 23-year-old man who was entering a synagogue in Kew Gardens Hills over the weekend, the NYPD said.

The 23-year-old was walking into the synagogue located at 139-19 72nd Rd., near 141st Street, when a person inside a graffitied white van threw a rock at him on Saturday around 9 a.m., authorities said.

The white Sprinter van fled 72nd Road toward 139th Street, police said.

The 23-year-old man was not injured, and the NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the attack, authorities said.

Police released images of the van on Monday.
