Lutheran Church In Forest Hills Undergoes Second Rock Attack: NYPD
Police are searching for the man who damaged the glass front door of the Grace Lutheran Church on Sunday, the second time since 2021.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A man threw a rock at the entrance of a Lutheran church in Forest Hills, damaging the glass door, on Sunday, for the second time, police said, after a similar incident in 2021.
Police are searching for the man who damaged the glass front door of the Grace Lutheran Church, located at 103-15 Union Turnpike, about 4 p.m. on Jan. 29 by throwing a rock, the NYPD said.
"I don’t understand why he would be so upset with us or the church," Bob Wilson, the church's treasurer, told Patch.

In December 2021, a man also threw a rock at the same church, leaving the community in "disbelief." Wilson said the entrance was repaired a month later with plexiglass, which was damaged in Sunday's incident.
Police released a video of the man on Monday. The NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the incident.
