Locals Rave About New Taqueria In Forest Hills
Mas Tortilla just opened on Queens Boulevard, but its homemade tortillas and long menu of Mexican fare is already getting good reviews.
FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Forest Hills residents can't stop talking about a new neighborhood taqueria.
Mas Tortilla, a family-owned Mexican restaurant, opened at 113-27B Queens Boulevard this month.
The restaurant quickly garnered positive feedback from neighbors, including one who called it "tremendous" on a local Facebook page.

Others jumped in the comments to add praise. "The food is excellent," wrote one; another said that the "delicious" eatery is a "welcome addition" to the neighborhood.
A third, who was also pleased with the eatery, said they appreciate its smaller, family-owned scale — and took a jab at another neighborhood restaurant in the process. "An alternative to the over-rated Tacombi," they wrote.

Mas Tortilla, which makes its own tortillas, is described as a "traditional" Mexican restaurant showcasing home-style cooking. "When you are at Mas Tortilla you are family," the restaurant's website reads.
In addition to tacos, Mas Tortilla serves up a long-menu of enchiladas, quesadillas, burritos, and sides — ranging from chips and salsa to sweet plantains. The taqueria, which is reportedly still in the process of getting its liquor license.
Mas Tortilla is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily with options for indoor dining and takeout.
