Rosalia's Pizza opened on Queens Blvd. this week.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A new pizzeria opened its doors in Forest Hills this week.

Rosalia's Pizza, at 103-15 Queens Boulevard, had its soft opening Wednesday and will be holding a grand opening in the coming weeks.

Owner Joseph Romano has been in the pizzeria business for more than 20 years, he said. He owns other restaurants around New York City, including Luzzo's Pizza in the East Village, which was voted best pizza in NYC by Eater New York in 2014.

The quaint restaurant, which sports a modern interior with a rustic look, also offers take-out.

Rosalia's received positive reviews from the Forest Hills residents who were eager to try it Wednesday.

"The pizza was excellent. Tasty and not dry. The pizza is thin crust and baked to perfection. On the minus side they will begin delivery in two weeks and the coupons in the menu are for cash only customers," one Forest Hills resident commented in a community Facebook group.

"They also have a wide variety of Italian entrees, pastas, sides, soups, salads, wraps, calzones and at least two dozen specialty pizzas."
