FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Police found swastikas graffitied over two tree stumps in Forest Park on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the NYPD said.

Authorities responded to a call at 2:45 on Monday about a biased incident in Forest Park, where officers found the offensive symbols graffitied with white spray paint, police said.

"Hatred against Jews is a growing issue and we cannot allow this to keep happening," said Council Member Lynn Schulman, who represents Forest Hills, on Twitter.

Lynn told Patch that the graffiti has been covered with paint.

The case was handed to the city's Parks Department, authorities said.
