REGO PARK, QUEENS — "Diner Man" hasn't surrendered his fight to save the Shalimar Diner.

The iconic Rego Park diner was demolished on July 10 after local preservationist Michael Perlman's plan to halt the diner's impending demolition fell through.

Now he and lawyer Ronald Hariri are teaming up to recreate the Shalimar in a new spot.

Perlman, a Forest Hills resident, got his nickname by rescuing and relocating two historic diners that were headed to the bulldozer.

The Shalimar was poised to become his third success story, until local zoning laws stymied plans to move the diner to a property Hariri owns on Long Island.

The duo is now searching for a "suitable property" where they can rebuild the Shalimar, Perlman wrote in the Forest Hills Times.

The Shalimar diner closed in November 2018 due to declining business and a rent hike. It had appeared in the movie "The Wolf of Wall Street" and the CBS television show "Blue Bloods."
