The best reader comments of the week came from a story in which Patch asked readers about which upcoming Forest Hills restaurant they were most excited.
New restaurants or bars coming soon to the neighborhood include The Grill, Twist and Smash'd, The Old Siam Restaurant and Pride. Also, Bareburger is expanding its current site and will include additional seating and liquor selections.
A reader known as Sheila in Rego Park wrote, "Way too many burger places and bars right now. We could use a couple of nice Chinese restaurants. Thai and Asian fusion are fine, but some of us really miss Chinese."
Other readers suggested French, soul food, Spanish and seafood eateries, while at least one other commenter said they would like to see a new Chinese restaurant open in the community.
