Illegal Weed Truck Busted, Rego Park Man Arrested, DA Says
Edgar Niyazov, 30, was arrested after running an unlicensed cannabis dispensary in Astoria with 42-year-old Tanik Kerr, prosecutors said.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A man from Rego Park was arrested this week for running an unlicensed cannabis dispensary in Astoria, prosecutors said.
Edgar Niyazov, 30, was charged with unlicensed general vending and criminal possession of cannabis on Thursday after police found he and Tanik Kerr were selling flowers, edibles, and vapes from a truck without proper licenses in Astoria, said Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.
Niyazov and Kerr, who operated "Canna Depot" on the corner of Broadway and 34th Street, each face up to a year in jail if convicted, Katz said.

They were arrested along with Lara Paola, 32, who ran “All The Smoke” on the corner of 30th Avenue and 33rd Street in Astoria, the district attorney said.
More than five pounds of cannabis flower, hundreds of packages of edibles, and dozens of vape pens were found in the unlicensed cannabis trucks during a police bust on Wednesday, prosecutors said.
