Rego Park Sushi Restaurant To Shutter Amid Rising Rent

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A sushi bar in Rego Park bid farewell to the community after four years in business.

Sai Sushi, located at 95-34 Queens Boulevard, will open for the last time on Sunday, March 19, an employee at the restaurant confirmed, amid rising rents and pandemic-related disruptions.

"Although we are sad to say goodbye, we are grateful for the opportunity to have served you and the community," the restaurant wrote on Facebook.

The restaurant opened in 2019, serving signatures such as short ribs, toro truffles, and a variety of Asian appetizers.
