REGO PARK, QUEENS — A bank teller foiled a robbery in Rego Park by refusing to hand over money when a would-be thief demanded it, police said.

On March 11 at about 4:30 p.m., a man walked into a Chase Bank, located on Queens Boulevard by 63rd Road, and approached the teller, slipping him a note demanding money, according to the NYPD.

The teller, however, stood his ground and refused to hand over any money, prompting the man to run away from the bank cashless, police said.
