Seasonal Farm Stand Returns To Forest Park
The farmer's market, which is in its third year, will be located by the Buddy Monument in Forest Park.

FOREST PARK, QUEENS — The Forest Park Farmstand returns for another season starting Saturday.
The farmer's market will be stationed by the Buddy Monument on the Richmond Hill side of the park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday through Nov. 21, according to City Council Member Eric Ulrich, who allocated $25,000 in funds for the market.
The Farmstand, a partnership with GrowNYC, launched in 2018 to increase access to fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers, according to a news release.

"The Forest Park Farmstand filled a crucial void in Richmond Hill and the surrounding neighborhoods, where residents had to travel great distances to buy fresh produce," Ulrich said. "For so many of the local residents, the return of this year's Farmstand will provide a sense of normalcy."
During the summer months, available produce may include blueberries, peaches, carrots, garlic, cilantro, arugula, radish, mint, mushrooms, tomato and eggs. During the fall season, visitors can find items such as celery, parsnips, peas, and eggplant.
