Spectrum Outage: Vandalism Charges Against Employee Dropped
An outage caused 60,000 customers to lose service.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A Spectrum employee who was accused of causing a massive outage by vandalizing a fiber optic cable has had charges against him dropped, the Queens District Attorney’s Office said July 14.
The worker had been charged with criminal mischief, the Queens Chronicle reported. Nearly 60,000 Spectrum customers lost television, internet and phone service on June 26.
