Straphanger Stabbed During Argument On F Train, Police Say
The attack happened amid an argument between two commuters, police said.
FOREST HILLS, NY — Police are seeking a man who stabbed another straphanger on a subway train in Forest Hills on Wednesday. The attack happened amid an argument between the two riders on a Queens-bound F train at the 75th Avenue station around 5 p.m., the NYPD said.
The unidentified assailant stabbed the victim, a 49-year-old man, in the chest and leg with a knife before getting off the train, police said. He was last seen fleeing the station, according to the NYPD.
The stabbed straphanger was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was treated and released, police said.

The alleged attacker is described as about 45 years old, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 220 pounds, police said. He has a gray beard and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, black pants, black sneakers and a tan cap.
