Teen Shot Dead In Robbery While Smoking Weed With Friends: Report

The college student was smoking with some friends in his brother's apartment when he was gunned down, the Daily News reported.

KEW GARDENS HILLS, QUEENS — A Queens teenager was gunned down last week after an armed robbery broke up a smoke session with friends, according to reports and the NYPD.

Gregory Campos, 18, went to smoke weed with some friends Thursday night in a Jackson Heights apartment that belonged to his brother, the NY Daily News reported, citing the police.

The NYPD confirmed Campos' name, but would not answer Patch's questions about what brought him to Jackson Heights that night.

In the midst of the smoke session, someone came into the apartment — which was being used as an illegal barbershop — and tried to rob the place, according to the Daily News.

Campos was shot in the chest in the scuffle, police said.

The teenager's brother rushed him to Elmhurst Hospital, the news outlet reported, but he couldn't be saved, the NYPD said.

As of Monday there are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing, according to police.

Campos, who lived in Kew Gardens Hills, had recently enrolled in Queens College and worked in a nearby Forest Hills orthodontic office, the Daily News reported.

His boss, Dr. Emanuel Mizrahi, told the outlet that he's devastated by Campos' untimely death.

"(He was) very responsible, very respectful, he would help at any time, never complained," the doctor told the Daily News. "It’s everybody’s loss, it’s humanity’s loss."
