Thursday: Aaron Copland School Plays at Y, Jazz Trio at Flushing Town Hall

Students from Queens College’s Aaron Copland School of Music will perform at the Central Queens Y at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 24.

Performers will include pianist Pei-Hsuan Tsai, cellist Sverre Kyvik Bauge and violinist Alex Hu. For more information, call 718-268-5011, ext. 160. The Y is located at 67-09 108th St. in Forest Hills.

Brian Woodruff’s OKB Trio will play at 8 p.m. on Oct. 25 at Flushing Town Hall, located at 137-35 Northern Blvd. The show costs $15 for members and $10 for students.

The trio includes Woodruff on drums, Oscar Perez on piano and Kuriko Tsugawa on bass. The musicians will perform selections from the Great American Songbook as well as Brazilian and Latin standards.
