Trader Joe's Is (Finally) Coming To Forest Hills
The longtime running joke that every closing store in Forest Hills will become a Trader Joe's is finally becoming true.
FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — After a longtime running joke that every closing store in Forest Hills would be occupied by a Trader Joe's, the highly-anticipated grocery store announced its arrival to the neighborhood.
"We've consulted our maps and compass and have found a terrific location for a store in Forest Hills," reads a statement from Trader Joe's. "We are proud to be joining the neighborhood."
The new Trader Joe's location will be at 69-65 Yellowstone Blvd.

Although a specific opening date has not been set, Trader Joe's is expected to open sometime in 2023.
Forest Hills residents have long pleaded for a Trader Joe's location. In 2021, rumors circulated that a new development replacing a Key Foods supermarket at the time was planned to be a Trader Joe's, but the company denied the opening.
