Wednesday: Lecture on Sleep at the Y, Kids' Programs

Barnes & Noble, located at 70-00 Austin St., will offer its weekly children's story time event today at 10:30 a.m.

Attendees will be able to listen to an age-appropriate story and take part in other activities.

The Central Queens Y, located at 67-09 108th St., will host a program titled Sleep On It: An Awakening Health Lecture at 1 p.m.

During the event, doctor Ida Messana will discuss sleep hygiene, how much sleep an average person needs and things that interfere with getting a good night's sleep.

The Forest Hills Library, located at 108-19 71st Ave., will hold its Toddler Time program today at 11:30 a.m.

The event, which is aimed at children between the ages of 18 and 35 months, includes stories, songs, rhymes, finger plays and movement games. Preregistration is required.
