Wednesday: Storytime at Barnes & Noble, Botanical Garden Exhibit

Also, the Central Queens Y will close this evening and will not reopen until Sunday.

Barnes & Noble, located at 70-00 Austin St. in Forest Hills, will offer its children's storytime event today at 10:30 a.m.

Attendees will be able to listen to an age-appropriate story and take part in other activities.

And the Queens Botanical Garden's "Invasive Pigments" exhibit is open today from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The display is a series of watercolor-like paintings that explore the migration and proliferation of weeds in tandem with human movement.

The garden is located at 43-50 Main St.

Also, the Central Queens Y will shut its doors at 6 p.m. today and remain closed for the next three days for Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah.

The Y, located at 67-09 108th St., will reopen on Sept. 29 at 8 a.m.
