What It Means To Be Professional: Central Queens Y Plans Free Adult Workshop

Two assistant professors from NYIT will lead a discussion on workplace and interview etiquette.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — What makes a successful professional?

This is the question that Forest Hills’ Central Queens Y, located at 67-09 108th St., seeks to answer when the Y’s Workforce Initiative hosts the Professional Etiquette in the Workplace Seminar on Aug. 11.

From 10 a.m. to noon, the Central Queens Y Workforce Initiative will lecture on appropriate conduct and interpersonal skills needed to secure and maintain a job.

Participants will learn about the attributes of a successful professional, the keys to a successful interview, perceptions during interviews and what it means to be professional, according to the Central Queens Y Facebook. Presenters will include Joshua E. Bienstock, a labor law attorney and assistant professor of business law at NYIT as well as Radoslaw Nowak, assistant professor of human resources studies at NYIT.
