FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Someone won tens-of-thousands of dollars this week after buying a lottery ticket from a Forest Hills smoke shop, the New York Lottery announced.

The winning Take 5 ticket — which amounted to $12,574 in prize money — was purchased at Craft Beer & Smoke, located on Queens Boulevard near 75th Avenue, according to the state lottery.

It was among three first-place winners in the Tuesday evening drawing, all of which were purchased in New York City.

The other winners were in Brooklyn and Manhattan, lottery records show.

The winning ticket in Forest Hills marks the latest in a string of winning Take 5 tickets sold in Queens this year.

Forest Hills stores are no strangers to winning tickets, either, having sold at least a couple of winning lottery tickets in the past several years, amounting to tens-of-thousands in winnings.
