Woman Hailing Cab Assaulted By Driver In Forest Hills: PD
A woman was driven to Queens and assaulted by a man who promised to take her to Brooklyn, according to police.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A man picked up a woman hailing a cab, drove her to Forest Hills and sexually assaulted her, according to the NYPD.
The woman, 33, hailed a cab in Washington Heights about 4:45 a.m. on May 15, when a man driving a gray Volkswagen SUV stopped and asked her destination, police said.
The NYPD didn't specify if the Volkswagen was a for-hire car.

The woman asked to be taken to Brooklyn but the driver took her to Yellowstone Boulevard and 62nd Road in Forest Hills, where he pulled out a knife and grabbed her groin, police said.
The woman escaped from the SUV and was later taken to a hospital in Elmhurst with injuries on her hand and feet, according to the NYPD.

The woman was in stable condition, though, and wasn't slashed or stabbed, police said.
The male driver, who is depicted in a police sketch, sped away and hasn't been seen since, according to the NYPD.
Police described him as a 40-50-year-old man last seen wearing a black jacket and black pants.
