Cleanly, On-Demand Laundry App, Now Servicing Brooklyn

FlyCleaners finally has some competition.

Good news for busy (or lazy) Brooklynites: There’s a new on-demand laundry app in town.

Cleanly and FlyCleaners have been going head-to-head in Manhattan for a while now. But up until today, the only one servicing parts of Brooklyn was FlyCleaners.

But no longer!

As of Wednesday, July 22, Cleanly is picking up and dropping off laundry in seven Brooklyn neighborhoods: Williamsburg, Fort Greene, DUMBO, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill, and Park Slope.

Those zip codes are 11211, 11249, 11217, 11201 and 11215.

Cleanly’s service in Brooklyn is a little more expensive than FlyCleaners’ — $1.50 per pound of laundry, compared to $1.40. However, according to a Cleanly spokesperson, “If you add in the extra fees they charge to separate whites/colors and to add bleach, as well as a high $30 minimum order, we’re actually less expensive.”

Cleanly will also be servicing some Brooklyn neighborhoods not currently serviced by FlyCleaners, including Park Slope and Brooklyn Heights.

A map of Cleanly’s new coverage area in Brooklyn is included above. We’ve requested the same from FlyCleaners.
