Conor McGregor In Plea Negotiations After Barclays Ruckus

The MMA-star briefly appeared in Brooklyn court Thursday over charges stemming from an April incident in the Barclays Center.

FORT GREENE, NY — MMA fighter Conor McGregor is in plea negotiations with the Brooklyn District Attorney after he tossed a hand truck into a bus window at the Barclays Center, reports said.

The 29-year-old Irish fighter briefly appeared in Brooklyn court Thursday where Assistant District Attorney Janet Gleeson said the case wasn't brought in front of a grand jury yet because of the potential plea deal, CBS New York reported.

McGregor's charges stemmed from an April incident when he stormed into the Barclays after a press conference promoting an upcoming UFC fight there, police said.

The MMA star — who was recently stripped of his lightweight championship belt — got into an argument inside the stadium's loading dock with brawlers scheduled to fight then grabbed objects and tossed them at the bus, video of the incident shows.

He eventually hurled a hand truck through a bus window and injured one person inside, police said. MMA fighter Michael Chiesa was taken to a hospital for cuts to the face and was deemed unfit to fight in the competition, ESPN reported.
