Jay and Silent Bob Want You to Watch 'Mallrats' With Them in an Empty Brooklyn Lot

For free.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Silent Bob clarifies that the event will not be held on a rooftop, but in a large cement lot at 50 Kent Avenue. (Headline has been changed to reflect this fact.) So that should clear up some worries about space. However, he also clarifies that even if EventBrite lets you reserve a spot, the event will be “first come first served” with “no guarantee of entry.”

Jay and Silent Bob — or rather, Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith, the actors who play them — are inviting one and all to a free screening of their 1995 classic Mallrats in Brooklyn this August 4.

Yes, there is still space available. And no, there does not appear to be a catch.

Mallrats goes on Tuesday, August 4, at sunset — but guests are encouraged to arrive at 5 p.m. for a not-to-be-missed Q&A with Jay and Silent Bob.

Ahem, Smith and Mewes.
