• Fredonia approves firefighter pact (post-journal.com) — Fredonia’s mayor has broken a Board of Trustees tie to approve a new firefighter contract that could mean higher village payroll costs and potentially future tax increases. The deal, already ratified by the firefighters’ union, runs through May 31, 2029, and village officials say its added costs were anticipated in the budget.
   

• Boil order strikes Fredonia again (observertoday.com) — Fredonia residents are under a new boil-water order after inadequately treated water entered the village system, marking the eighth such alert in under three years. All Fredonia water customers must boil water for drinking, cooking, and brushing teeth until further notice, with limited bottled water available for vulnerable residents through the Fredonia Fire Department.
   

• Wavepoint seeks to add jobs in Sheridan (observertoday.com) — A logistics company with facilities in Fredonia and Sheridan plans a $6 million expansion of its Sheridan warehouse, aiming to add about 20 local jobs over three years. Operations at the former Carriage House plant in Fredonia are expected to continue unchanged, keeping that site active while Sheridan gains new investment and potential rail-served growth.
